Take exit at Day's Inn Motel and
drive under Hwy 61 toward
river.
Frontenac St. Park - off Hwy 61
take Cty Rd. 2 and follow signs
to park (must have park sticker)
Hok-Si-La Park-just north of Lake City off Hwy 61.  Walk path along
riverfront to south.  Seek out other wintering shore birds.
Read's Landing - drive down to
steep road to  shoreline- numbers in trees and on ice edge of open water
.National Eagle Center-Wabasha
Observation Deck with binoculars and scopes-trained helpers available
Wings Over Alma - Alma WI
Cross bridge at Wabasha go south on Hwy 35 - 9 miles.
Indoor facility with scopes, also may view a variety of waterfowl, cormorants, mammals.

Great Backyard Bird Count - An annual 4 day event that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of where the birds are across the continent.  Info is used by scientists for migratory movement info.
