Elected by the membership, the Board of Directors serves as the Chamber's governing body.  Each year 's Board assumes office at the Annual Meeting in January and meets monthly thereafter from February through the following January. Questions, concerns, ideas and suggestions are welcome. Please help us improve the organization and meet our goals by communicating regularly with your representatives. 

Chamber Ambassadors

This group provides an outlet for information and involvement for the membership.  Ambassadors promote the Chamber's mission through participation in recruitment and retention projects, recognition activities (first dollar presentations, ribbon cuttings, business milestone awards), and event support. 

 

This is a Lake City Chamber sponsored group open to all women, whether chamber members or not.  Spark meets on the first Monday of the month at various local locations from October through May.  It gives women the opportunity to network, share ideas and opportunities, and spark new friendships.

 

Quarterly meetings for the Manufacturing and Large Employers group are organized by the Chamber and LC Economic Development Authority.  Round table topics include:  developing leadership potential among the local labor force, collaboration with the school district, business ethics and finance, strategies for lowering expenses to sustain profitability in today's market, and much more. 

 

Finance Committee
This committee ensures all finances are in order, proposed projects meet financial abilities and appropriate budgets are followed. Additionally, this committee provides recommendations to the Board of Directors to establish policy and procedure regarding finances.

 

Water Ski Days
Lake City's largest festival celebrates the invention of Water Skiing in Lake City.  The Water Ski Days committee coordinates entertainment, the grand parade, the arts & crafts fair, and other event logistics, and develops promotional and advertising strategies to create a unique and cohesive tourism event. 

Johnny Appleseed Festival
Johnny Appleseed Festival is a celebration of the apple industry in Lake City.  The committeee organizes an apple pie sale and social, arts & crafts fair, children's events, pancake breakfast, chili cook-off, and other event logistics.

Lake City Chamber of Commerce spearheads the Tour de Pepin bicycle tour, in an effort to draw recreational tourists to the Lake Pepin region.  The tour offers three routes:  a 12-mile ride to Wabasha, MN, a 32-mile tour to Stockholm, WI, and a 72-mile Lake Pepin loop with bridge crossings in Wabasha and Red Wing.
