As March comes to a close, I’m reflecting on what an exciting and productive month it has been for the Lake City Chamber!
We kicked off the month with a successful Career Fair, held in partnership with Lincoln High School, Workforce Development, Inc., and the Port Authority. This collaborative event helped connect students with local businesses and career opportunities — a meaningful step toward building our community’s future workforce.
We also just wrapped up our Annual Dinner, and I’m thrilled to share that it was a SMASHING success! Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the past year and look ahead with energy and enthusiasm. We also had the opportunity to present our Annual Reports for both Visit Lake City and the Lake City Chamber to our City Council — a great chance to showcase the progress we’ve made and the exciting things on the horizon.
Speaking of the horizon, we’re already hard at work planning two of our signature summer events: Tour de Pepin and Water Ski Days! There’s a lot of energy and fresh ideas surrounding these events, and we can’t wait to share more soon. If you’re interested in sponsoring either event, please reach out — sponsorships must be confirmed by May 1st.
On the advocacy front, we’re working closely with the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and staying connected with the Federation to find ways to better support and represent our local small businesses at the state level.
And on a personal note, I’m honored to have been selected for the next class of the MN Chamber’s Executive Leadership Program. Our first session kicks off on April 7th, and I’m excited to bring back valuable knowledge and ideas that will help move our organization forward in 2025 and beyond.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and commitment to making Lake City the best it can be.
