What a special and beautiful time of year it is in Lake City. As the leaves are starting to change you can smell fall in the crisp morning air. As the seasons change it hasn’t slowed us down from organizing more events to share with you, and next up is Johnny Appleseed Days September 30th and October 1st. We have some very exciting things planned for the entire weekend, so I hope you will bring your family and friends downtown to support the vendors, shop at our retail stores, visit our bars and restaurants, listen to live music, and have some fun! We are so thankful for all the support from our downtown businesses and sponsors so we can bring you a jam-packed weekend of activities. New this year is the Johnny Appleseed Beer and Cider Fest and tickets are going fast!
Johnny Appleseed Days is a part of Fall Fest that actually kicks off this Sunday with the Junior Coronation and Kiddie Parade in Patton Park at 11am. Following this are special events planned for every weekend and Fun Zone being open to the public all month long in Patton and Ohuta Parks. I want to take a moment to give a HUGE shoutout to Heather Thomas, Jen Cobb, Erica Hoops, Emily Hawryluk, Kiersten Thomas, Jennifer Weyer, and Doris Schurhammer. These women have been working countless hours to prepare for all the festivities. If you see them around town, give them some kudos for a job well done. They have really brought our community together to celebrate fall, and we should all be thankful for their hard work! See you in Lake City 😊
Happy Fall!
