Changes at the Chamber

Dear Lake City Community,

It is with mixed emotions that I announce my decision to step down as Executive Director of the Lake City Chamber of Commerce. This has been a truly rewarding experience, and I am incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made together in supporting our vibrant Lake City community.

Since 2021, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside our Heather and Ed, many dedicated board members, countless volunteers and service group members to support local businesses, foster community engagement, and shape the economic landscape of Lake City. We’ve achieved significant milestones, including reviving signature events after COVID, increasing membership engagement, integrating the Visit Lake City brand under the Chamber, and doing our very best to advocate and support our local businesses.

Leaving the Chamber was not an easy decision, and I am deeply grateful for the incredible support I’ve received from all of you. As I close this chapter in my career and open the page to a new one, I will forever reflect back on this truly amazing experience. The friends and connections I have been blessed with will continue to shape who I am moving forward.

The Chamber is in a strong position to continue its vital role in supporting Lake City’s businesses. The Board of Directors will be initiating a search for my replacement, and I have full confidence that they will find a leader who will build upon our successes.

In the meantime, I remain committed to ensuring a smooth transition and I will continue in my role until the conclusion of Water Ski Days. I will work closely with the Board and staff to ensure all ongoing projects are well-managed. Thank you again for the opportunity to serve this wonderful community. I will continue to be a champion for Lake City and its businesses ALWAYS.

With warmest regards,

Elizabeth Greenawalt
