A new year always brings a renewed sense of energy, focus, and possibility—and 2026 is already shaping up to be an exceptional year for the Lake City Chamber of Commerce.
This January, we’ve hit the ground running with a clear commitment to organization, innovation, and modernization. There is a strong drive—shared by staff, board, and members alike—to move things forward in meaningful ways that strengthen our business community and enhance Lake City’s vitality. In a time of change and uncertainty across our state and beyond, our focus remains on collaboration, economic vitality, and creating opportunities for Lake City businesses to succeed.
Our 2026 events calendar is full and exciting. Planning is well underway for Water Ski Days, with a complete lineup of ski shows and entertainment already secured. Tour de Pepin and the Y-Knot Triathlon are both open for registration, and we’re thrilled by the early interest and enthusiasm. We’re also beginning to line up vendors for the Beer & Cider Fest tasting, another community favorite that continues to grow. And of course, our Annual Dinner and Chamber Awards will once again be a highlight—celebrating the businesses, leaders, and volunteers who make Lake City such a special place.
Beyond events, 2026 is about strengthening the foundation of the Chamber itself. This year, we are activating board committees to focus on areas of priority and importance, ensuring thoughtful leadership and progress across our organization. We are renewing our focus on membership—both in growing our base and clearly communicating the benefits and value that come with being a Chamber member. We’re also expanding our social media presence, which not only strengthens the Chamber’s voice but also creates more opportunities to spotlight and support our members online.
In January, our Board of Directors gathered for our annual retreat to align goals and priorities for the year ahead. It was an important opportunity to reflect, plan, and recommit to our roles as fiduciary agents for the Lake City Chamber of Commerce and the community we serve. We also proudly welcomed three new board members: Cole Tousignant (Wagner Oehler, Ltd.), Emily Hawryluk (The Lake City Graphic & Shopper / AmericInn), and Jim Siewert (Pepin Manufacturing, Inc.). Their perspectives, experience, and enthusiasm are already adding great value to our work.
We are off and running—and genuinely excited to see where 2026 takes us. Thank you for being part of the Lake City Chamber and for supporting the work we do together to move our community forward.
Here’s to a phenomenal year ahead.
