Meet Kriston!

 l am excited to join the Lake City Chamber as your new Event and Office Coordinator, bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for community engagement.

My journey began at North Dakota State University, where I studied law enforcement. However, my true path led me to diverse roles that honed my organizational and leadership skills. At a nuclear plant, I advanced from a security officer to 1st Lieutenant, managing demanding shifts and schedules, including 48-60 hour work weeks. This experience taught me the importance of meticulous planning and dedication.

Balancing work and family is a priority for me. After the birth of my son, Wade, I transitioned to a role at GrandPad, where I bonded with many and  enriched my skill set. My next chapter at Heidi’s Huggamug Cafe allowed me to connect deeply with our community and implement positive changes, such as marketing management and event planning, significantly improving the business.

Running my own business has given me first hand insight into the needs and challenges of local businesses. I believe in continous improvement and strive to provide the best for our community. My experience in organizing events, managing operations, and fostering community connections makes me a perfect fit for the Event and Office Coordinator role.

Beyond my professional life, I cherish time with my husband, our two wonderful children, and our two beloved pets. I enjoy fishing, camping, hunting, reading a good book, and spending quality moments with my family. You can usually find me with an iced coffee in hand, ready to take on the day
