Dear Lake City Community,
As we kick off 2025, the energy in our office is electric! With Annie now on board as our Event and Office Coordinator, we are in full planning mode for an exciting year ahead. Every day feels like a dance as we juggle preparations for our major events like the Tour de Pepin and Water Ski Days, along with our dynamic networking events such as Business After Hours and our new initiative, Wake Up with Heather.
We are thrilled to announce that registration for our 18th Annual Tour de Pepin will open on February 1st! This popular event promises another fantastic ride, and we’re excited to once again partner with Winona State University’s Cal Fremling, and the Winona Boat Tours for an unforgettable experience. Additionally, we’re continuing our partnership with the Lake Pepin Legacy Alliance, and riders will have the opportunity to support this incredible organization through their registration. Be sure to stop by their booth at the After Ride Party to learn more about their important work and show your support.
Looking ahead to Water Ski Days, we’re absolutely buzzing with excitement! As we celebrate this 50+ year tradition in Lake City, we’re hard at work brainstorming fresh, fun ideas to make this year’s event even more special. We can’t wait to share what’s in store, and we’ll be releasing more details in the coming months. Stay tuned for updates, as we continue to honor this beloved event and bring new energy to the festivities!
As always, our networking events are a great opportunity to connect, grow, and share ideas. But we’re seeing such strong interest for 2025 that we want to remind you to reach out and schedule your Business After Hours event before the calendar fills up. These informal yet impactful events are a wonderful way to showcase your business and engage with others in the community.
And don’t forget about Wake Up with Heather! This new networking opportunity has been an incredible addition to our schedule. Held on the first Wednesday of each month at the Lake City Public Library, it’s an informal gathering designed to catch up on the latest Chamber news and hear from members about what’s happening in town. It’s a great way to get to know fellow business owners and staff in a relaxed setting.
We’re looking forward to a fantastic year of events, networking, and collaboration. As always, if you have any questions or want to get involved, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Here’s to a prosperous and exciting 2025!
Warm regards,
Heather Thomas
