Spring has officially begun, and yet it may not feel like it outside, the warm weather will be here before we know it. To the chamber staff this is a friendly reminder that event season is RIGHT around the corner.  Our days are filled with meetings, filling out permits, working with sponsors, and coordinating many moving parts for several events at once…which is one of the best parts of my job. My other favorite part is serving you and the community!

We are here for you and your business, and only hope for your success.  We want to ensure you are taking full advantage of the offerings that are included in your membership package. I have recently spoken to a few members that were thrilled when we educated them about some new benefits, they didn’t realize were a part of their membership. Our job is to cultivate a healthy and growing business environment, coordinate events to promote local businesses, provide networking opportunities, and work together for the success of our community. Heather and I would love to meet with you and your team about ways to support your business in Lake City, so please reach out if you would like our assistance.   

Lastly, I want to mention how rewarding it has been for me to see our community continually coming together to support programs and events that keep our economy strong, especially with the upcoming Governor’s Fishing Opener in May. It has been a very rewarding experience working with our planning committee, service organizations, community members, city officials, and sponsors to coordinate the three-day event. This is an incredible opportunity for all of us to showcase the invaluable assets Lake City has to offer. It’s a very exciting time!
