As we wrap up a busy summer, I want to take a moment to thank our community, our volunteers, and our members for their continued support.
Mother Nature gave us a run for our money with the Y Knot Triathlon this year. While we had to make the difficult decision to cancel due to weather, the safety of our athletes, volunteers, and spectators is always our top priority. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event and exploring ways to make it even better.
Rollin’ by the River Food Truck Festival and Beach Party, on the other hand, reminded us why we love summer in Lake City. Once the rain passed, the crowds came out to Ohuta Park to enjoy the music, the beach, and some delicious food. It turned into a beautiful afternoon full of community spirit.
As we look ahead to fall, our focus is turning to membership. This fall we will be launching a membership drive, and we’re excited to put the spotlight on the incredible businesses and organizations that make up the Chamber. We also want to make sure you—our members—are getting the most out of your investment. Be on the lookout for an email from us in the coming weeks detailing your membership benefits and ways you can still take advantage of them before the year ends. From marketing opportunities to networking, advocacy to community promotion—your membership matters.
Another great way to promote your business is through the Lake City Visitors Guide. This guide will be in circulation for 2026–2027 and is one of our most visible tools for marketing our community and our members to visitors. Advertising space is available now—make sure your business is included in this must-have resource!
And of course, fall in Lake City means Fall Fest! We’re thrilled to announce that Johnny Appleseed Day will be held Saturday, October 4 as a one-day highlight event this year. Join us for:

- 🛍️ Vendor fair
- 🍻 3rd Annual Beer & Cider Fest
- 🎶 Live music from 11 AM–5 PM
- 👨👩👧👦 Family activities throughout the park
This is just one piece of Fall Fest, which runs the entire month of October. Keep an eye on our website and flyers around town for more events, activities, and autumn fun.
