There’s Just Something about Spring in Lake City

Spring Has Sprung… and So Has the Momentum

I don’t know about you, but there’s just something about spring in Lake City. The snow melts, the sun sticks around a little longer, and all of a sudden—it feels like everything comes back to life.

And here at the Chamber… it really does.

We’re coming off a fun and energetic Girls Day Out: Mrs. Roper Romp, and I have to say—our community showed up! From the creativity to the laughter to the support of our local shops, it was everything we hoped it would be and more. Events like this are a great reminder of how important it is to keep our downtown businesses busy and thriving.

We’re not slowing down anytime soon. We’re looking ahead to our next Business After Hours on April 30th, where we’re proud to partner with Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity for a groundbreaking ceremony celebrating a new home build right here in Lake City. It’s a unique opportunity to come together, connect, and celebrate something bigger than business—investing in our community and its future.

Behind the scenes, things are moving fast as we prepare for two of our biggest events of the year—Tour de Pepin and Water Ski Days. Planning is well underway, committees are hard at work, and the excitement is building. These events don’t just happen—they are powered by volunteers, sponsors, and a community that shows up year after year.

And that’s really what this season is all about.

Momentum. Energy. Community.

As we head into the busy months ahead, I encourage you to lean in—attend an event, support a local business, volunteer your time, or simply welcome the visitors who will soon be filling our streets. They play a bigger role in our local economy than many realize, and together, we create the experience that keeps them coming back.

Spring has sprung… and in Lake City, that means we’re just getting started.
