Lake City Chamber of Commerce - favicon

Tis the Season…

Tis the season of joy, giving and being thankful.  Now is a great time to reflect on the wonderful year we had in Lake City. What a joy it was celebrating Lake City turning 150 years old with several unique and fun events throughout the year. We owe many thanks to the tremendous group who gave hundreds of hours to plan and execute these celebratory events. Ann Nibbe, Constance Anderson, Sandy Meier, Dori Lindsay, and Don Schwartz…thank you so much for all your efforts! If you see them around town, please take a moment to show your appreciation, they deserve it!

It has been a joy serving Lake City as the Events and Membership Coordinator over the last year and a half.  As I step into my new role as Executive Director, I want to take a moment to let everyone know I will be giving it my all to be present, helpful, and resourceful to serve our Lake City businesses and community members. I am ready for the new challenges this role brings and am overjoyed for what 2023 will bring.  Ed Hoffman has been an incredible leader and I am so thankful to have him on board to serve as our Tourism and Marketing Specialist moving forward. We will also be adding a third person to our chamber staff next year, so our team will be bigger and better than ever.

It brings a smile to my face thinking about all the ways our community members, service groups, city officials and departments, and hundreds of volunteers came together for one common purpose…to make Lake City the best place to work, live and play.  We have so much to be thankful for as we close the books on 2022. I hope you all find joy this holiday season and take some time yourself to reflect on yourself, your business, and how we can all work together to make 2023 a fabulous year.

Happy Holidays,

Elizabeth Greenawalt
