Wow…Another great year has come and gone just like that! As we reflect on all that has happened in 2023 it brings a smile to my face. I feel so lucky to be a part of our community that has once again come together to make Lake City the amazing little town that it is.

October 31, 2023 [ST. PAUL, MN] – Governor Tim Walz today announced that Lake City will host the 76th Minnesota Governor’s Fishing Opener on May 10-11, 2024. Explore Minnesota coordinates each year with the Governor’s Office, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and the host committee to put on the event celebrating Minnesota’s rich tourism

Another month in the books and wow did we have a great one.  The Chamber brought Johnny Appleseed Days back downtown and created an all-out block party. Vendors, food trucks, live music, community members and visitors from all over packed the streets, and we topped it off with our first annual Beer and Cider Fest.

What a special and beautiful time of year it is in Lake City. As the leaves are starting to change you can smell fall in the crisp morning air.  As the seasons change it hasn’t slowed us down from organizing more events to share with you, and next up is Johnny Appleseed Days September 30th
